In order to make my country kitty you will need the following supplies.

I've included both the light and dark fills so that you can make either kitty I have pictured, or please feel free to play around and use one of your own ideas. The directions I've given are for the dark blue. If you use the light fills the only difference is the outline colors are #B2BFDA for the blue outline, and #F1AAB3 for the pink outline, a


Remember to save often!



  Open a new image 400X400 transparent.


  Set your foreground color to blue #92A3C9 and the background to the blue dot pattern at 100 percent and angle 0. Load the selection 1tail.sel. Flood fill with the blue color. Modify, contract 1 and then flood fill with your blue pattern. Float the selection and apply a cutout with the following settings. Vertical and horizontal both 0, opacity 100 and blur 15 and the color is blue #92A3C9. Deselect. Save.

  Add a new layer and name it body. Load the selection 2body.sel. Flood fill with blue,#92A3C9, modify selection, contract 1 and flood fill with the blue pattern. Float and then apply the same cutout with a blur of 40. Apply noise with the settings of 3 uniform. Deselect. Save.

  Add a new layer and name it belly. The foreground color is changed to peach #ED9884 and the background is the peach dot fill at 100 percent with an angle of 0. Load selection 3body.sel. Flood fill with the peach, modify selection, contract 1 and flood fill with the peach dot pattern. Float and then apply the same cutout with a blur of 40 and change the color to peach #ED9884. Apply noise with the settings of 3 uniform. Deselect. Save.

  Add a new layer and name it outer ear. Load the selection 4ear.sel. Flood fill with blue,#92A3C9, modify selection, contract 1 and flood fill with the blue pattern. Float and then apply the same cutout with a blur of 10 and the blue color. Deselect. Save.

  Add a new layer and name it inner ear. Load the selection 5ear.sel. Flood fill with peach #ED9884, modify selection, contract 1 and flood fill with the peach pattern. Float and then apply the same cutout with a blur of 10 and the peach color. Deselect. Save.

  Add a new layer and name it head. Load the selection 6head.sel. Flood fill with blue,#92A3C9, modify selection, contract 1 and flood fill with the blue pattern. Float and then apply the same cutout with a blur of 30 and the blue color. Apply noise with the settings of 3 uniform. Deselect. Save.

  Add a new layer and name it face. Load the selection 7face.sel. Flood fill with black. Deselect. Save.

  Add a new layer and name it mouth. With your draw tool set to single line, width 1, antialias checked, draw a straight line down from the nose. Save.

  Add a new layer and name it whiskers. With your draw tool set to single line, width 1, antialias checked, draw three straight line down on one side of the nose for her whiskers. When you have them the way you like, copy and paste as new selection. Mirror the selection and then place them on the other side of her nose. Deselect. Save.

  Add a new layer and name it paws. Load the selection 9paws.sel. Flood fill with blue,#92A3C9, modify selection, contract 1 and flood fill with the blue pattern. Float and then apply the same cutout with a blur of 20. Apply noise with the settings of 3 uniform. Deselect. Save.

  Add a new layer and name it inner paws. Load the selection 10paws.sel. Flood fill with peach #ED9884, modify selection, contract 1 and flood fill with the peach pattern. Float and then apply the same cutout with a blur of 20 and the color is changed to peach. Save.

  Add a new layer and name it top paws. Load the selection 11paws.sel. Flood fill with blue,#92A3C9, modify selection, contract 1 and flood fill with the blue pattern. Float and then apply the same cutout with a blur of 20 and the color is changed back to blue. Now we will be drawing in her toes so reload the 11paws.sel. Your foreground is still the dark blue, but the background is null. Using your draw tool with the settings freehand, line width 1 and antialias checked draw in three toes on both paws. Invert your selection and delete that way if the toes went outside the lines this will tidy them up.

  Add a new layer and name it balloon. Load the selection 12heart.sel, the foreground color dark peach #ED9884 and the background is the peach dot pattern. float and then apply the same cutout with a blur of 20 and the peach color. Apply noise with the settings of 3 uniform. Deselect. Save.

  Add a new layer for the highlight on the balloon. With the foreground color white select the airbrush tool with the following settings, shape round, size 7, hardness 39, opacity 28, step 22 and density 17.  Draw a curved line on the upper left hand side of the balloon. Go to effects, blur, and apply a Gaussian blur with a setting of 3.00.

  Add a new layer under the top paws layer for the string on the balloon. Change the foreground color to black and background null. With your draw tool set to single line, width 1, antialias checked, draw a line from the balloon to under the paw for the string. Save.
