Country Chick

This tutorial was created with PSP 7.04 but I'm sure it can be done easily in other versions.
You will need:

My yellow plaid pattern. Right click on the pattern and save it to your computer.

1. Unzip the selections to your selections file and open the plaid and minimize it on your desk top.
2. Open a new document with the settings 350X350 transparent. I like to flood fill with white, it's easier
for me to see what I'm doing that way.
3. Set your foreground color to black and the background to pattern with the yellow plaid selected using the
following settings. Scale 100% and angle 213.
4.
Create a new raster layer and name it wing.

Flood fill with black.
12. Add a new layer and with the palette settings foreground black, background null, select your draw tool
with straight line, line width 1, and anti alias selected. Randomly draw short straight
lines at the edge of your chick to give it a country look.
13. If you flood filled layer one, select it and delete to get a transparent background again.
Merge visible and then you can save your chick as a tube if you like.
All done! Thank you so much for trying my tutorial. I hope you enjoyed it :-)
