Fish Chowder

6 thick slices of bacon, cubed
3 med. onions, cubed
5 med. potatoes, cubed
2 lbs. cod or haddock fillet cubed
3 1/2 tsp. sugar cured salt
1/4 tsp alpine touch seasoning
1/2 tsp pepper
3 c. boiling water
1 qt. of milk
1 can evaporated milk

Put water in 5 qt pan, bring to a boil.  Add the onions, potatoes, salt, seasoning, pepper; boil.  Add fish and cook until it is done, about 30 min.  Then add milks and simmer 25 minutes.  If you want to thicken your soup add 3/4 c. flour.  Mix the flour with water before stirring into your chowder so it doesn't lump
