Easy Fry Bread
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c. powdered milk
warm water as needed
shortening
Mix together baking powder, powdered milk, flour and salt. Stir in warm water just until dough clings together. Knead the dough on floured board until it is soft but not sticky. Cover with cloth and let rest about 2 hours. Shape into balls about 2". Flatten by patting with your hands until you have a circle. Fry in about 1/2 inch of shortening. Drain on paper towels,. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or honey.
