Angel Hair Alfredo

8 to 10 oz. angel hair pasta
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp flour
1 tbsp corn starch
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp dried basil
1 1/2 c. milk
4 oz. cream cheese, cubed
1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
1/3 to 1/2 c. diced fully cooked ham or chicken

Cook pasta.  In large skillet sauté garlic in oil until lightly browned.  Stir in flour, corn starch, garlic salt, pepper and basil until blended.  Gradually stir in milk.  Bring to a boil.  Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.  Reduce heat.  Whisk in cream cheese and Parmesan cheese until smooth.  Add ham or chicken.  Heat through.  Drain pasta and add to sauce.  Toss to coat.  Makes 4-6 servings
