Make-up for Halloween

2 tsp. White shortening
5 tsp. Cornstarch
1 tsp. Flour
3 to 4 drops glycerin
Food coloring

Mix ingredients together like paste. Add colorings.








Witches Brew

¼ lb bacon
1 ½ lbs hamburger
2 green peppers, chopped
2 lg. onions chopped

Brown well.

Add:
1 lg. can mushrooms
3-½ c tomato juice
1 can kidney beans
2 c. noodles, uncooked
Salt and pepper to taste

Brew in a 350° oven for 1 hr. Sprinkle top with grated cheddar cheese and bake an additional ½ hr.







Monster Cookies

6 eggs
2 c. brown sugar
2 c. white sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
½ tbsp. White syrup
4 tsp. Soda
1 c. Margarine
1 ½ lb. Peanut butter
9 c. oatmeal
½ lb. Each chocolate chips and M&M’s

No flour! Mix ingredients in order given. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes. Leave on cookie sheets until cool.







Pumpkin Bars

1 c. oil
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c pumpkin
2 c flour
2 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. Baking soda
½ tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Cinnamon

Frosting

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese softened.
1 ½ c. powdered sugar
½ c. margarine
1 tsp. Vanilla

Cream together the oil, sugar, eggs and pumpkin. Mix dry ingredients together and add slowly to the creamed mixture. Pour into ungreased jellyroll pan. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Frosting: Mix all ingredients together until smooth and spread on bars when cooled.







Pumpkin Cheesecake

1/3 c. margarine
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 ¼ c. flour
16 oz. Cream cheese, softened
¾ c. sugar
16 oz. Can pumpkin
1 tsp. Cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
Dash of salt
2 eggs

Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy; blend in egg. Add flour and mix well. Press dough on bottom and 2 inches high around sides of a 9” spring form pan. Bake crust at 400° for 5 minutes. Remove crust from oven and reduce oven temperature to 350°. Combine cream cheese and sugar, mixing until well blended. Blend in pumpkin, spices and salt. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Pour mixture into pastry lined pan; smooth surface to edge of crust. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes. Loosen cake from rim of pan. Cool before removing rim of pan. Chill. Garnish with whipped cream just before serving, if desired.
