Misty Blue Peanut
I'd like to introduce you to Peanut .I had
received a call from the woman that I got Chico from and she had
his half brother and I jumped at the chance since Chico is the
love of my life. I got my little guy on Valentines Day 2000 and
he was the saddest little puppy I've ever seen. He had several
wounds on his head where the other dogs that he had been kept
with had attacked him that morning, and he must not have been
kept in the cleanest area as he was very smelly. Well, there's
no way I wasn't going to take him home! I was totally shocked at
his condition. This was a great place when I went and got
Chico, unbelievable how it must have changed. When I got
Peanut home he was terrified of everything and was even afraid
to walk on our floors. He would just stand there and look sad.
He did take to my other dogs right away though and was thrilled
to meet them :-) It took about a week of me sitting on the floor
and coaxing for him to finally get brave enough to come to me on
his own. I was so afraid that Peanut would never come to trust
me since the poor little guy had been through so much before he
came to live with us. It is now August 24th 2001 and I thought
I'd give you a new update on my boy. He is now such a happy well
adjusted little guy that loves to snuggle and give kisses! I
worked with him on obedience training and a couple of days ago
that was put to the test. He somehow slipped out and was running
around in front of the house checking out the wonderful smells
and I could just picture him running off and knew I'd never
catch him since he is such a fast little guy. All I had to do
was tell him to sit and stay and he sat and waited to be picked
up. What a big change from that sad frightened puppy he first
was :-)
Peanut has his very own purse to ride in and when
I ask him if he wants to go bye bye he runs and jumps in his
purse and grins ear to ear. Peanut loves to play and go
for walks with his brothers. He is such a little blessing
:-)
